President
  • Secures speakers for monthly meetings and annual ethics workshop - speakers are typically from the Abilene area, but can be from any place.  Examples of past speakers include college professors, private practice counselors, researchers, practioners from Dyess AFB, representatives from area psychiatric hospitals, and college students.
  • Secures the meeting location.
  • Arranges for the meal.
  • Arranges for multi-media needs of speakers.

Secretary-Treasurer

  • Manages finances including the checking account, taking money at meetings, paying bills, etc.  Bills typically consist of a monthly fee for room rental/catering, and payment to the annual ethics workshop speaker.
  • Checks post office box monthly.
  • Maintains email list.
  • Manages website.  Maintenance is easy and minimal, and includes posting meeting dates, speaker information, and new members.
  • Creates and distributes the monthly electronic newsletter.
  • Prints and distributes membership applications, CEU certificates, and sign-in sheets for meetings.
  • Creates and distributes advertisement for annual ethics workshop.  Typically this includes an electronic flyer and emails to businesses and the email list.
